Our Vision for Health Equity

At Loretta Health, we view health equity as more than just access to healthcare—it’s about ensuring everyone has the opportunity to achieve their highest potential for health and well-being. Despite remarkable advancements in modern medicine that have extended life expectancy and improved quality of life, these benefits are not equitably shared. Equity-seeking communities often face disproportionate burdens, including barriers tied to systemic inequities, social determinants, and the effects of minority stress. Our mission is to address these disparities by harnessing the power of science, technology, and individualized care to create evidence-based solutions that drive meaningful, lasting change. We are committed to being catalysts for transformation, bridging gaps, and championing a more inclusive, healthier future for all.

What are equity-seeking groups?

Equity-seeking groups include a wide range of communities that experience systemic inequities, such as racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, low-income individuals, and the LGBTQIA+ community, among others. At Loretta, we are dedicated to addressing the needs of all these groups, but our starting point are the LGBTQIA+ communities. These groups embody immense diversity and intersectionality while also having been historically overlooked in healthcare. In fact, Loretta was born out of a desire to build a platform specifically designed to support LGBTQIA+ individuals in their health journeys. By addressing the unique challenges they face, we aim to set the foundation for a more inclusive healthcare system that uplifts all equity-seeking groups.
